The agricultural education department at Beggs Public Schools recently received grants from the state Career and Technology Education technology grant program,
Instructor Caitlin Dreher received a grant for added technology in the agricultural communications class. This grant allowed for the purchase of Canon cameras, iPads, and accessories for students to learn about photography, videography, graphic design and much more!
This technology increases the opportunities for hands-on learning for all students. Agricultural communications educates youth about various methods of communication through agriculture and allows students to develop basic skills for any career they choose.
Robert Ross, another agricultural education instructor, received a grant for new technology in the shop.
The shop will now be able to powder coat metal products including signage, panels, and more. The addition of this technology allows students the ability to create shop projects from beginning to being completely customer ready.
